This work of historical fiction looks at what happened when the railroads first reached New Mexico in the 1880s. That event brought both opportunity and danger to Native American communities, resulting in wounds that have persisted for generations. THE TRAIN TO SANTA FE explores that sad legacy as well as the resilient power of the human spirit.
